A little while after Thanksgiving, Rose had the idea to go out to a fall/Halloween event at a local farm. So, we picked up the Gingers (aka, my sister and brother-in-law), and headed out that morning to check it out. I should mention, I had to work later on the same day, and it's very unusual for me to do anything outside of work on a working day. I think this is further proof of Rose helping me get out of my comfort zone and old routines, which I think has been good for me.
At first glance, it didn't look like the place had a whole lot to offer besides a pumpkin patch. However, we ended up having a lot of fun just doing simple little things. We probably spent a good ten minutes just watching baby goats playing around and exploring. First, we went through a decent sized corn maze, and laughed at some of the 'spooky' decorations scattered around. After that, we went on a hay ride that turned out to be kind of crazy and actually was pretty thrilling! We all got a little muddy, and it smelled a bit, but it was a lot of fun. Then, we spent some time jumping across hay bales. I tried to make some longer jumps, and freaked Rose out every time. I didn't make every jump, so she got some amusing video of my fails. She also ended up taking a lot of photos, one of which she made into her Facebook profile picture, which was pretty cool to see, knowing how she'd been shy about mentioning me before.
So, with all that in mind, I present to you a Counting Down To Love first: a few photos of myself and the lovely Rose from that happy day of random adventure.
