After that, we stopped for lunch at Smoke's Poutinerie. Fellow Canadians, if you haven't eaten at one of these fine establishments, you seriously have to go. There are dozens of fantastic flavours to choose from, and I'm sure they are all excellent. We decided to share an order of pulled pork poutine, and it was fantastic!

After that, we headed off to a local mall, where we spent some time at a neat little comic shop. We ended up buying things for each other, and I also got a Doctor Who card game, which I ended up playing with my family a few days later. I mistakenly read the box wrong and didn't realize it was meant for three or four players. In any case, I'm sure I'll get to play it with Rose at some point.
After our shopping, we took a few pictures of the old buildings and churches in Guelph.
We had a quick look around the new Target store nearby, with a quick break at Starbucks, (Rose is a bit of a coffee fiend) and then we headed home. Amazingly, it was still fairly early in the afternoon, so we decided to go for a little hike at a local park back in my hometown. It turned out to be a bit icy and muddy, but it was nice to be outdoors and getting fresh air. My shoes ended up getting kind of filthy, but I need new ones anyway.
It was a very fun, relaxing day, and it made me realize how much I appreciate having Rose in my life. She helps me to get outside of myself, and to go off on adventures and do things I probably wouldn't try on my own. I've grown to love her a lot, and I hope that everything works out for the best in the end.
Finally, as a small exclusive for you readers, as well as a symbol of my affection for her, I am going to conclude this post with a photo of the one and only Rose.
| I know, it's a little bit of a tease. |
