Spoke Too Soon

Because this blog seems to be the kiss of death for anyone named in it, you can add Jersey Girl to that list.  It's been over a week since I last heard from her, so I've given up on a relationship with her.  It was a tough decision to make, but I decided if she wasn't even willing to communicate as a friend, there was no chance of getting any sort of romantic attention from her.  So far, I haven't gotten any response, so it seems I was right.  I kind of saddens me, because she seemed nice, and I think we could have gotten along, but facts are facts, and I think it's better to stop this now than to draw it out and feel let down later.

In other news, my emotional state still needs some fine tuning.  The current problem seems to be centered around overthinking and falling for people who I haven't even met.  Perhaps it's something to do with my active imagination, but I fall into this pattern all too easily, and it seems to be ruining my chances of being in a healthy relationship with anyone.  Perhaps instead of imagining people I might end up meeting, I should have a fantasy relationship with a celebrity instead.  This way, I'll at least be sure it's something unattainable, and it won't foul up my plans in real life.  Seriously though, I'm open to whatever advice any of you may have to offer about this, because I really need to fix this.

  1. I believe I may have already commented on this entry, or another one about Jersey Girl. I can't remember what I wrote, but sometimes it just isn't in the cards. Much like my experience with Miss Carol Gerber, sometimes fate has a different idea in store for us even when we fixate on someone.
