Hello everyone!
I just wanted to take a brief minute to let you know that I'm still alive. Some weeks ago, Little Red and I had something of a disagreement. I don't really want to get into the details, but let's just say that I made an unwanted suggestion, and as a result of that, there were a lot of hurt feelings, and she stopped talking to me for a little while. Since then, we've made up, although we most likely won't be spending any time together before she starts school. I'm slightly bummed out about that, but it's just how things worked out. And so, I continue to struggle against the loneliness that follows me around like some malevolent spy, while I attempt to have some semblance of a social life. (more on that in future, possibly)
I have many ideas for interesting future posts, and once I find the right words I will write them all down so you can see them. Until then, I hope you're all doing okay.

I hope you're doing okay too. I'm sorry things didn't work out between you and Red, but they will work out with someone else further down the line. Loneliness is a bitter and harsh mistress.

ReplyDeleteI understand the compulsion to push further, because staying in one place can feel so stagnant. But sometimes it is prudent to be cautious and take one's time. Tortoise and the hare, you know? Sometimes the race isn't always won by the swiftest, but to the most dedicated. I have faith in you.
