Big Weekend - Part 3 -or- Enter The Puke Machine

Disclaimer:  if you're easily grossed out, you may not want to read this.  I'm not really graphic here, but just letting you know, in case you missed the title.

The next morning, at Rose's place, I woke early in the morning to an entirely unpleasant feeling in my stomach.  Thankfully, this wasn't the first time I'd spent at Rose's house, so I quickly made my way to the bathroom and lost what was left of my stomach contents from the previous evening.  Rose woke soon after and checked on me to make sure I was okay.  There was no real explanation for it, but I'd caught/developed a severe bug, or possibly stomach flu.
We were both disappointed, as we'd had big plans for the day, but Rose could see I wasn't doing well and drove me back home.  I don't often get sick, and this was the sickest I'd been in a long time.  I was throwing up pretty much every half hour, even with the help of medication.  At one point, I had to go into a Tim Horton's bathroom dressed in only my pyjamas and a hastily thrown on jacket to heave up what little water was in my stomach.  I feel terrible for the poor people who walked in after and had to hear the awful noise I must have made in there.  Rose was brave and strong for me even though she told me later she was terrified to see me like that.  She helped me to keep hydrated and comforted the whole time, even while driving.  In fact, her show of care and kindness made me get emotional to the point of incoherent crying, although part of that was out of pain.
After what seemed like hours, we finally got back to my place.  Rose stayed with me and looked after me while we sat in bed watching movies and I made some attempt to nourish myself with chicken soup.  Rose was feeling slightly sick as well, but not nearly as much as I was.  After a while, my stomach finally settled and we were both feeling well enough that we went out that night to see Star Trek: Into Darkness.  It was an enjoyable night, despite how things had started off.  Rose stayed with me that night, to make sure I was okay, and it was something I truly appreciated.
