It seems things are slowly beginning to work out for yours truly. I recently received a message from that girl I'd been pursuing online, and found out that on the advice of a friend, she was giving up online dating. While I would normally be a bit bummed out about that, this was a bit of good news, considering I'd basically decided I wanted to go after Little Red anyway.
As for Little Red herself, we've been exchanging dozens upon dozens of emails in the past few days, going over all manner of subjects and discussing what our potential relationship would be. She's still working through her breakup, so I'm trying to be patient and support her however I can. At the moment, I think she wants to be with me, but she's also afraid of being hurt again, which has her a bit conflicted. Even though our first date didn't go all that well, I did get a sense that she liked me quite a bit, even if neither of us could articulate how we felt. I'm glad I've got another chance to find out now.

ReplyDeleteGiven my last comment, this is the complete opposite of what I expected. But hey, it sounds like it's going very well! Dozens of e-mails? That's fairly impressive. It sounds like there might be a second chance brewing here. At the very least, it will bring more closure to Little Red's story...at best, it will lead to a new relationship! Follow her lead, but don't be afraid to take some initiative yourself. You have to ride a very fine line in this type of situation. Push too hard for romantic involvement, you'll push her away. But if you're too passive, then you'll get friend-zoned. Women are tricky creatures, but are so worth the pursuit. Good luck!
